All this coming weekend. We get two games. Saturday 11PM Game Seven of the 1994 NBA Finals And then at 1AM Game One of the 1995 NBA Finals. link and if it has been posted, shoot me please.
sweet. i suppose i could complain they always give us crappy time slots, but i guess i'll take the fact they remember us at all. and it's always nice to see the nba on nbc again. edit: i suppose i shall withdraw my complaint as it appears they are showing one game from every finals starting in 1985 and going in chronological order and ours just happened to be at midnight (i guess to put the bulls first 3 in primetime). they have the bulls last 3 starting at 4 in the morning. oh, and this also means we get another game: Game 4 - 1986 against the celtics on Saturday at 8 am only one hour long and called Classic Drive Thru (not sure what that is). only one other game is only getting an hour but we probably lost anyway so who cares.
Yeah, I felt like Bumping my own thread, and giving it five stars. so it starts in ten minutes. at 1am its game four of the 1995 NBA Finals. For you "new Rockets fans," shut your mouth, sit straight in your chair, and get your notebooks out and take some notes. You want to see how a center plays, you'll see one. You want to see a point guard that doesn't dribble the ball around, you'll see it. You want to see some guys that play some good team D, watch it. You want to see the legendary Vernon Maxwell, and why tinman has such a hard on/mancrush on him, you will see why.
Did anyone else get chills during the starting lineups and the first basket of the game (Horry's dunk)??
I got a special feeling during that whole opening sequence, including the lineups and the Horry facial. I have this game on VHS and on my computer, but for some reason I didn't remember the crowd being so damn electric! For comparison, watch the Mavs fans tomorrow night. It's not even close. They look asleep.
VanGundy is the heir to the coaching throne in New York. He had more hair back then. I am sure his eyes didn't sag as much. Almost 12 years later, he is coaching the Rockets. FUNNY is life. ohhh, no Yao Ming huh? That sucks. Guess you people won't be watching it, huh? Too bad.
