'Ironhead' Heyward loses battle with cancer

ATLANTA -- Former NFL fullback Craig "Ironhead" Heyward, who played 11 seasons in the league with five different franchises, died here Saturday after a seven-year battle with a recurring brain tumor.

I remember his soap commercials about the lathering pad, whatever you call it.

Pretty sad, way too young to go. RIP

Wow. I had no idea, either.

I think he came out of high school with Thurman Thomas didn't he? Both were considered the best in the nation from what I recall.

Dang, you beat me to it. Dude was a HOSS in Super Tecmo Bowl. He was one of those guys fun to use because the opponent's defense could never take him down, and defensive players would just get knocked back on their ass if they tried!
