Anything but one of those Vermont Teddy Bears. I keep hearing those being advertised on the radio. I couldn't imagine giving a teddy bear to someone over 12 years old, especially a mom for mothers day.

What about a build-a-bear dog? My younger brother bought one for my mums. I dont think its going to be much of a suprise since my nosey old man already opened up the package and revealed the contents inside (stuffed animal - dog).

I'd say yes, just to show her how much you care.

Don't be a cheapskate. Buy something. YOU will get a FATHER's day gift, too... Unless of course, she decides to give one to the MilkMan...

It's always on Sunday here. Why would you celebrate mother's day in the middle of the week?

Why NOT? You take the time to celebrate MOMs ANY day, and you've shown the WILL you have to love MOMs no matter if it is Sunday or Wednesday. Look it up on WikiPedia.org . I was wrong, there are other countries who do a Sunday in a specific monthly week.
People from other countries will find themselves celebrating them in their culture's original date, like people from Norway.
