Connery came back. I don't see why Brosnan wouldn't. Give him a few years of movies that bomb. He'll be itching to play Bond again.

i agree.

Clive Owen's one of my favorite actors. It's funny how "under the radar" he was for us Americans and then he just got great roles and used them well. I watched the Bourne Identity again the other day and he played one of the agents and I was like "wow! that's clive owen!!"

The series was getting stale because of the crappy writting and boring scripts, not because of Brosnan's performances.

I agree about giving Daniel Craig a chance but Clive Owens doesn't suck

agreed, the writing and dialogue plus plot of the last movie was a Bore. Even Halle Berry sucked. What a joke.

DING! We have a winner. These movies have strayed so far from the original concept of James Bond (tough as nails, yet suave, super spy who, while a lady's-man, is all business and gets the job done no matter what the cost) to a ridiculous parody-like action movie series (let's blow everything up, but make sure you make a funny quip before you do. Oh, and sleep with every single female in the movie).

Sadly, Casino Royale is my favorite of the original Ian Fleming books, and I've always taken solace in the fact that Broccoli never got his hands on it (I refuse to acknowledge that piece of crap with David Niven and Peter Sellers). I fear for this movie. Craig is not Bond.

FWIW, from what I've heard, Clive Owen and Hugh Jackman were both informally approached about playing Bond, and both turned it down. Wise career movies, considering how the series is (or rather, isn't) progressing.
