This is a critical month for Rockets to make the playoff push. Every game is important and I don't want to miss a single one. As outtowner, thanks to the booming technology of P2P TV in China, now we can have 100% coverage of Rockets games for March (and looks like for the rest of the season)! Here is a complete schedule for the remaining of March:

Sun 5 vs. Portland 7:30pm Videolan Sports, NuSports
    Tue 7 @ Minnesota 7:00pm CCTV-5
Wed 8 vs. Indiana 7:30pm NuSports
Sun 12 @ San Antonio 2:30pm NuSports (also on ABC)
    Mon 13 vs. New Jersey 7:30pm CCTV-5
Wed 15 vs. Dallas 8:00pm Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, etc.
Sat 18 vs. San Antonio 7:30pm Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, etc.
    Mon 20 vs. L.A. Clippers 7:30pm CCTV-5
    Tue 21 @ Dallas 7:00pm CCTV-5 (also on TNT)
    Thu 23 @ NO/Okla. City 7:00pm NuSports
Sun 26 vs. Cleveland 12:00pm NuSports (also on ABC)
Wed 29 vs. Seattle 7:30pm Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang, etc.
Fri 31 vs. Washington 7:00pm ESPN Asia, NuSports

Brief introduction of each TV channel:
    • CCTV-5: leading sports channel in mainland China. Broadcast live NBA games every Mon, Tue, Fri & Sat (US time, same below). Available on PPLive, PPSteam, TVKoo, TVAnts, best pic quality from PPLive with 800K
    • Leading local sports channels:
      • Shanghai Sports (上海体育), from Yao's hometown, available on PPLive, PPStream, TVKoo, TVAnts
      • Guangdong Sports (广东体育), with Cantonese commentator, available on PPLive, PPStream, TVAnts
      • Zhejiang Sports (浙江体育休闲), available on PPStream, with best pic quality among all local channels
      • You can also find other local sports channels available on various P2P TV such as Hubei Sports (湖北体育), Shandong Sports (山东体育), Fujian Sports (福建体育), Jiangsu Sports (江苏体育), etc.
Major local sports channels broadcast live NBA games every Wed and Sat.
    • NuSports: this is the exclusive NBA authorized Chinese online broadcaster. You need to register on its web site (http://www.nusports.cn), and need to provide that user name and password to view the webcast. You can view the TV directly from its website or use its own P2P application (both with low pic quality). Also available on TVAnts (better pic quality, recommended). It claims that it will cover all Rockets game not broadcasted by regular TV in China.
    • Videolan Sports (纬来体育): leading sports channel in Taiwan. 2-3 games every week. Available on PPStream.
    • ESPN Asia: Broadcast live every Fri. With live English commentator. Available on TVKoo, TVAnts.
    • Star Sports Asia (卫视体育): Broadcast live every Thur. Available on PPLive, PPStream, TVKoo, TVAnts.

Additional introduction of major P2P TV applications (I have all of them on my computer):
    • TVKoo (http://www.tvkoo.com): my favorite. Green application, no installation needed. Very handy, simple, easy to use, and most of all, fastest buffering time. No English GUI but pretty straight forward. Has preview function. Current version: 060215F
    • PPLive (http://www.pplive.com): pioneer of P2P TV, with broadest channels converage, as well as English language option. Channel selection is not very user-friendly and most of the time you need to go to its web site to find out the link of the channels. Best used for CCTV-5 800K. Not very stable recently. Current version: 1.1.0.7
    • PPStream (http://www.ppstream.com): well designed GUI but no English. Has preview function. Some unique channels such as Videolan only shows up before the game start. Buffering time relatively long. Current Version: 1.0.1.158
    • TVAnts (http://www.tvants.com): most complicated GUI with English language option. Pretty extensive channel collections with unique coverage on NuSports. Pic quality relatively low. Current version: 1.0.0.57

Hope these are helpful to some of you.

Thanks Hawkeye for the fabulous compilation of the p2p streaming info. I'm already well versed in this stuff, but having one post spell everything out is extremely worthwhile. I'll bookmark this link and direct anybody that has any questions to your post.

    Five Stars.

Last time I tried watching the game on CCTV-5 but I didn't see it in the channels listings in PPPlayer. There was like only one channel available under the Sports category and it wasn't CCTV-5. Even on PPLive's website, I didn't see a link to the channel.

I know some other users have experienced this too. Is it a temporary thing?

Great info. I tried TVKoo last night for the first time. You are right. It is very easy to use and fast buffering.

RedFusion, I have the same problem with PPLive.

    Awesome! Thanks!

Just one question, for the TVKoo thing, how do you know which one is the Rockets game? Do you just click around until you find it? Thanks.

It's always the one with the most peers. Rox games are pretty popular. And there's not that much on at 9 am in China. ;)
