Does He love Basketball: Tmac said he Loves basketball, but he admits during this time frame he did lose some passion at the time for basketball. This is the 9th person in his family or friends who have passed during his career. The rockets have been there for him the whole time. Talked about JVG going to his house and said if you need time off take it. On Yao: He said recently yao has started demanding the ball. He is coming into his own and is improving. He said him and Yao are going to bring something special to this city. On Alston: He is the floor general and he does everything JVG wants him to do. He loves that Alston is pushing it now makes him want to get up and run.
A few notes: Man, T-Mac is just amped about how Yao is doin his thang. I mean as fans we are, but when you hear someone like T-Mac, his teammate, say those things, you can't help but get so excited for things to come. This year and years to come. He mentions being young with Yao...I guess his back is little concern now? I guess it's easier to find excuses/reasons when things aren't going well. He still has really his aspirations for the Rockets. He seems to love the team, organization, and city.
nice interview. only caught the tail end. apparently t-mac was compelled to do the interview to clear the air and dispel all the rumors. they even mentioned how unfortunate it is that unspecified "internet rumors" were going around. (i'm guilty of helping to perpetuate the rumor by multiple posts in that thread) he was highly enthusiastic about yao's play of late. gushing actually. when asked about his opinion on roger clemens, lightheartedly tried to sell roger on coming back to the astros. yadda yadda
Talked about Clemens coming back...he said he can make contact if Roger would pitch to him, not to his head...would leave that to Mike Piazza earlier, talked about the internet making up rumors of what supposedly was his personal problem...
I wish Tracy would do more postgame interviews with Gene and more 10-15 minute interviews on AM610. He comes across very well and seems to say things he really means. Unlike some players who are cliche machines. He did great when John and Lance shut up and let him do the talking.
Goes to show you how ignorant people can be nowadays. I wonder how all of the people who called the man a wuss and how he has no heart feel now. I hope they feel like crap
That's one of several things that pisses me off about John and Lance, they talk wayyyyy too much when a guest is on, talks over them, interrupts them, cuts them off, all to say something real cute or try to be funny...losers! And when they get a caller, you can hear them not paying attention, surf the net, whisper to each other...sheesh, they have as much job dedication as the cashier who rung me up at Best Buy...
