why is the rockets left out in the trading scene? it seems like teams are starting to make big trades or at least negotiating, but rockets are not doing anything besides trading for two no-bodies. i know they'll trade anderson. who else will be traded? howard, barry, or wesley? or all three?
why would you want to make a "big" trade, now? the rockets are finally getting healthy, and picking up some steam, moving up the power rankings, and you want them to make some "big" trade? have a little faith...try being a fan.
Let's trade EVERYONE. I'm sure other teams are just lining up to help us out. CD's phone is probably ringing off the hook from teams trying to get their hands on our roster. I know for a fact that Phoenix has offered Nash and Marion for Moochie and Ward. Just because we've won six out of the last seven games doesn't mean we're getting better or anything...
just because you trade that doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. wasn't the rockets a good team in francis' last season? weren't they a promising team? why did they break up that team? because they want to get even better! you can't be just content with sneaking into the playoffs. what happens after rockets get into the playoffs? to be blown again? i don't know for sure if rockets will even make the playoffs this season. tonight's loss to the clippers will be a good indicator that rockets are not so competitive.
OK, I'll bite. Only because I'm bored waiting for the game to start. Tree-Mac, what do-able trade do you think is sitting out there that will shoot us into championship contenders this year? Is it 9:30 yet?
No, I saw them as a team that was at it's peak and wasn't going to get any further, that combined with the Francis vs JVG debaticle(spelling?), the trade was needed. And playoffs to be blown again? The only time we were "Blown" is with that "Promising team with Francis", I thought last seasons playoffs we're great even emotional matches, it came down to the wire and we were JUST outmatched which showed us a few things that the Francis era didn't. 1. We could hang with the Mavs (who are always a solid playoff team and owning this year) 2. We were a couple players away from overtaking the Mavs (which with the records this year added up when our HEALTHY team is on the court holds about true) 3. That the team we have now.. is definitly a promising team.
i was talking about francis' last season, the season when rockets took the lakers (title contender) to 5 games in the playoffs. yes the mavs are a good playoffs team, but lakers were also good (when shaq and kobe were still a couple). mavs were not and still not have won any championship. so that fight against the lakers was much tougher than the mavs. why are some people so sensitive in here?
It was'nt last season when we played the lakers. it was 2 SEASONS AGO. . anyhow, besides the Impending DA trade, i see no other trade that will immediatly inhance our chances of improving farther upon what were doing allready. were playing pretty good ball allready.
My bad, I didn't understand what you were talking about. Maybe others are being a little snarky b/c you're basically ranting about why the Rockets are taking their time and not rushing into some trade. Kind of strange to start a new thread on that considering there are 4 other trade threads on the front page with actual deals and specifics being discussed.
If the Rockets win tonight, I dare you to ban yourself. We don't need the damn negativity on this board along with your horrible grammar.
BOY...We sure have been sucking lately. That loss against the CLippers was really hard to stomache..I mean..wahts our record the last 8 games? pretty horrible isnt it? Oh my...lets drug some GM into trading us their big star for our scrubs...great idea...lets get r done
The somewhat insignificant like the one that landed Bogans go a longer way way in making us better than those big splashes that hadly happen. Can you see how Bogans slowed Mobley down afterr it seem like Cat was having his way with Wesley? I bet we would not have lost to the T-Wolves (with their 2-guard lighting us up) if we had Bogans then. Heck I am not so sure Kobe would had had such an easy time with our Rox if Keith was put on him. So thanks to that trade we are in a better shape now than we were a few days ago. That in my books is a major-minor trade that will go a very long way in getting us back in the stead of things.
All I have to say is.. GOOD WORK CD!!! Picking Bogans up proved to be great so far, his shot is so slick and his passing is so great, I see him giving us a huge boost in alot of huge situations. The trick of the trade isn't trading your star for a star, it's trading to get people who can contribute.. How did Detroit get Goggleface from Washington?
