He was originally acquired by the Hornets from Phoenix along with Casey Jacobsen and Jackson Vroman in exchange for Jim Jackson and a 2005 second round pick on Jan. 21, 2005. Lampe averaged 3.4 points and 2.7 rebounds in 21 games for the Hornets last season.

We payed them money to take Mooch off our handsd for a scrub.

	what's the point of this trade? __________________ There isn't one guard/forward player in the NBA better than Kobe. And just judging from Yao struggling to defend guys like Boozer that are a foot shorter than him, he's not the best big man in the NBA. ---CLbros, 4 days before Yao wins Player of the Week.

	Here is his player bio. I'll take it though. I wonder what his contract looks like. 6'11" PF 275 lbs Career, in 60 games he avged 3.5 ppg and 2.5 rpg. Scrub for scrub but at least we get some beef and play against some big boys finally.

The Hornets must have had cap space to use.

This makes no sense, why not just let his contract expire or buy him out if you're not going to trade him for somebody useful? It's not like we're short of big men right now.

Alston is playing well, maybe bobby is coming back, so mooch is expendable. We get a guy who had a lot of potential but has so far been a bust (but still young). But we need a center behind Yao if Deke ever decides to play like his age.
