This definitely deserves its own thread. Watch Longhorn OLB Drew Kelson stay with Bush step for step. Notice this isn't some garbage PAC10 defense or Fresno State. If Bush can't beat out Kelson, how can he beat NFL quality LBs or DBs? http://panicstream.com/images/hookem/kelsonvsbush.gif
Uh, dude, it's a wheel route.. #4 has the inside.. they're both pacing themselves watching for the ball.. it's not a fly route.. jesus..
I'm sorry but this is by far the dumbest argument about Bush I've seen. You have no idea what the route was supposed to be. Have you ever considered the possibility that the ball was supposed to be underthrown and that the Texas LB made a great play or that Leinart just made a poor choice? Also notice the double coverage there. Maybe Bush adjusted his route by slowing down. There's no way to tell. This doesn't deserve it's own thread it deserves to be locked.
You guys beat me to it. Nothing better then a message board poster disecting a play that he has no idea about.
It also makes for a solid coaster for your coffee if you fold it in half. He's right, that LB is as fast as Bush. We should just give up. One play tells you everything you need to know about a player accoring to Baquai99.
My bad, the play I was thinking of was when Vince Young killed Osama Bin Laden for the game winning TD.
That monster stiff arm? I've seen it but I don't have it. Huff is being projected in the top 10 now by a lot of scouts but according to baquai99 that one play should probably drop him out of the first round completely.
A plastic one at that. Seriously, you guys crack me up. So riled up and the drafts only 3 months away. Some people may be dropping dead from heart attacks before then.
I don't know about you, but i'm having a total blast with this. It's been nothing but high comedy from the self annoited experts, flaming homers, and haterade sippers since Jan 4!
I don't agree with the message the poster's post is trying to create. however what i do see in this pic that i think is worthy of discussion is overall athleicism. what bush wasn't able to do regardless of the type of route is outjump the LB and win that ball. a great wr would have cut that route short and jumped in front of the defender and bring it in ala moss. so that does tell me that bush's wr play/instincts may be a little lacking. can he really be a great dual threat like people say he is. everyone makes it sound like we are drafting a moss type and a sayers type wrapped up in one guy. they say things like keep davis as tailback and put bush in the slot. would he be better than gaffney, really? i think that is an argument that can be made. how good of a reciever is reggie bush? and i am not talking about dump offs and screens. that is not what a slot receiver does.
