610 am just reported..... Swift attended practiced mentioned to reporters he was a game time decision, JVG quickly denied that! Yao was at practice and was practicing very light. Is expected to play by the weekend or early next week. So much for the surprise. hey, maybe the surprise will be an actual home win!!!
According to reports a couple weeks back, DA could barely walk after his injury. But none of can say we are suprised at this, DA is as injury prone as they come in the NBA. Good to hear Yao should be back soon, we're in a very critical stage of the season and we need him back badly.
Which....for the mathmetically disinclined, is 6 days.(less than a week) If Yao is on the practice floor now, it woulndt surprise me to see him back early next week for limited minutes. As for Swift, if he is with the team in practice, then I dont see why he should'nt play some tonight...(supposedly) the only reason to keep him out was because he could infect someone else...not for some physical(structural) injury that takes time to rehab.

Well Ill tell you where 2 of them are DA a. doesnt have a heart and b. which goes with a. is he has no affiliation with this Rockets team so why would he want to play in a season in which we would be called a "loser" bc we are so far under .500. Ive said the same about barry since he went back on the IL is Barry doesnt think he can help the team but he really could so get your arse back out there.
It figures Worrell would hype us up just to watch the game...I doubt Swift plays...Yao wont play...DA and Barry are weeks away...so I guess the "big return" is Ryan Bowen ... At this point, its understandable that Worrell, Bullard and the Rockets exaggerate everything just because fans are losing interest in the season quickly (though I'm not one of them)...but dont give false hope I love how that "Pick 6, get the 7th game free" deal was supposed to be a one-time offer, yet due to "overwhelming demand" they've offered it for 3 games now...clearly no one is calling and taking advantage of that deal...
FYI: There's nothing in those reports that you can't find in the local paper - the Chronicle in our case.
RElax guys all we really need is Yao back to make our run and thats it. Get the win tonight and then beat Minnesota and we'll be 16-26 when Yao comes back vs the Heat. We will be fine. Go Rockets!!!
DA is walking perfectly normal and has been before new years...i saw him in the galleria with his wifey on the 2nd floor and he seemed to be walking without any type of limp.....
what would be nice is to see yao on the bench at least in street clothes if not warmups even if he doesnt play. i think that alone may lift the spirits of our guys and finally allow us to overcome the mt everest thats is known as the charlotte bobcats
