Not just him..we have a few of them that are riding the Astros to do some damage. I think it has to do a lot with our pitching staff and how well they are pitching right now.

I love Jayson Stark... all of my favorite ESPN writers picked the Stros except for Tim Kurkjian :-(

That would suck to face the Astros. You have to basically face an ace every game.

    And Beltran cries.

New WS prediction--What happens when (if) the Astros win the WS:

    • Hell freezes over
    • Beltran fires his agent and requests a trade
    • SI puts it on the cover only of a special edition sold only in Houston
    • In his post game interview following the clinching game 6 win, Biggio says "Never underestimate the heart of a champion" after having said "that's baseball" and "we took care of our business" twice each.
    • Sura fall in faint.

I saw this and I think that's great to get the pub, but when are these guys ever right...Don't get me wrong, I believe too, but you have too many guys jumping the bandwagon...

Btw, Stros in 6 vs. the Red Sox...

Guess we can't complain about lack of respect or national press anymore, can we?

(Actually, it was annoying how much play Yankees/Red Sox got at the end while we were still fighting for a spot...)

I can't believe this.. never in my wildest dreams would I have expected experts to pick us WINNIng the series. Geez, we're freakin favored by them to take down the Cards!

I mean, I'm really really hoping...and I can give you a million reasons why I think it'll happen (pitching, injuries, recent performance, momentum, recent head to head results, etc.)...and I really think it will. But even I know that it's gonna be tough. To hear over 50% of ESPN analysts say it'll happen means I'm not being a stupid homer (completely)..

haha, and I guess it means they can't use the Rockets "Nobody respects us" type mantra as they storm through the postseason!

I hope the Padres take out the Cards for us. Cards seem to have our # and the Padres happen to have the Cards #. That would be so sweet.

If that happens, who gets home field in the NLCS? Us with the better record? Or the Padres as a division winner?

These predictions are surprising really since ESPN is a bunch of Boston homers... Let's hope they aren't trying to pull some reverse jinx on us!

I really would start crying for joy if Baggy and Bigg can get a WS ring before their career is up... Well.. that.. and to think the Beltran is sitting at home while the Astros are popping champangne on tv. :D

And Brad Lidge will drop an F-bomb on national TV.
