Lakers and Heat were hated because they were good.. I wish this was the reason for the hate against the rox, but instead they just hate our players
Clippers are the most hated, then Kobe/Lakers. F anyone that hates on our individual players, collective team, coaches or management. They can all f themselves. That includes fans of other teams, sports writers, sports radio bastards etc. I want the season to start ASAP.
They don't hate Houston. They just don't care about Houston. Just like you might not care one way or the other about Little Rock or Pittsburgh.
I was just about to type this. Hatred is reserved for teams like San Antonio, Miami, NY, Lakers, Clippers, Cleveland, etc.
Dwightmare and Harden are not likable people. One for what he does and doesn't do on the court and the other for is personality. Plus Morey has gotten over on several teams in trades
This notion of us being an evil entity is definitely an idea we should embrace. Dork Elvis re-arranged is Evil Dorks..this was always the plan Parsons contract would have been like us telling a contractor to go ahead and install the self destruct shaft that destroyed the death star. We cant be destroyed now. Long live the FRONT OFFICE. [FOOF]
I meant no one "cares" about the Rockets outside of Houston, except Yao & Lin's fans. The Rockets are just not good enough.
Let's see... We stole Linsanity from New York City - The largest media market We stole Dwight Howard from Los Angeles - The 2nd largest media market In between we also happened to grab James Harden You want to know if we are hated? Of course ESPN and the two largest media markets in the country hates Houston. Of course they are going to bash Houston every chance they get.
Need to get out the first Round. Especially Howard, another 1st round exit and he becomes nothing but a joke in the public eye...Not that he isnt close to it anyway outside of Houston and other small parts
ESPN cares a lot more about Pittsburgh. Just wait until MNF Oct. 20th in Pittsburgh. I wonder if Houston will have won a game by then.
yeah but darth vader wasn't losing to the blue desert people in the first round. It's time to win a series or 2 or just chill til we find the 3rd star.
Whats funny is that when we had our mediocre team we were playing super good and asking how come we are not in the news. Now once we get superstars we make the headlines but get hated smh.
The Rockets may rub people the wrong way because of the "cold, calculating" reputation, but I doubt most people really care enough about them one way or the other to say they're the most hated. They just don't inspire that much passion in people who aren't Rockets fans. The most hated teams are probably the same ones that are the most beloved. Like the Lakers, maybe. Kind of the Yankees in baseball. The reputation for treating players like assets is overblown. These guys are paid millions. It's a professional league, not some kids' league, and the stakes are high. They understand how it is. Sure, Morey could be more judicious with his words (so could Harden), in the interest of fostering a better atmosphere and more committed players, but it really isn't that big of a deal.
