"They are a great team," said Bryant, who before the game called Williams the best point guard in the league. "They got a lot of talent. They play that way all the time. You can take the softest player in the league and put him on the Jazz and he'll turn into a tough guy."

i know kobe is trying to compliment the jazz, but damn, tough? if that's the perception around the league, sloan has got them all fooled!

I sure hope by saying "tough", Kobe meant: a bunch of flopping pansies.

The one thing the Jazz do well is bump the cutters just a tad and push the low post players just a few feet out of their position.

Kevin Martin could learn a thing if he played for the Jazz.

I think by tough guy he means a tough player. Battier is one of the toughest despite his struggles this season.

as much as i hate the jazz...got to admit that they play just as hard as anyone night in and night out.

We had that kind of intensity the last couple of years....now....sigh.. :(

No offense, but if you don't think this guy is tough, you're an idiot.

Y'all aren't understanding the meaning of "tough".

Nash is considered soft, but he's a tough player. He's just not good defensively, but watch him play, especially off the ball, and he sticks his nose everywhere and mixes it up with forwards and some centers. That's what Kobe is refering to, not simply looking tough or being a defender. Utah's players are willing to do things like Nash does, despite their lack of athleticism or skills. It's something Kevin Martin doesn't do (besides while drawing a foul), but should. It's not going to make him look much better defensively, bit it'll help the team significantly.
