Sept 7 @ Steelers L (not quite ready for the Steelers at their place)
Sept 14 RAVENS W (home opener, Reliant should be rocking)
    Sept 21 @ Titans W (easy win)
Sept 28 @ Jaguars L (Jags will be tough this year, obviously)
Oct 5 COLTS L (wouldn't be surprised if we pull the upset though)
Oct 12 DOLPHINS W (Texans deliver a win for my birthday)
Oct 19 LIONS W (complete game before the bye)
    Oct 26 BYE
Nov 2 @ Vikings L (hope our run D is ready for this)
Nov 9 BENGALS W (revenge against Sam Wyche)
Nov 16 @ Colts L (no way we beat them at their place)
Nov 23 @ Browns W (should have won there last year)
Dec 1 JAGUARS W (we always beat them at least once)
Dec 7 @ Packers L (could go either way, but it will be cold)
Dec 14 TITANS W (easy win)
Dec 21 @ Raiders W (we won there with David Freakin' Carr)
Dec 28 BEARS W (Bears will have nothing to play for)

Assuming we avoid the 17 season ending injuries to starters we had last year, I'm saying 10-6. I'm sure we'll have key injuries though, since we seem to have them every year....

Yes, we have a hard schedule but it gets easier as the season goes on and we should be improving every week.

My Prediction - Steve Slaton rushes for 289 yards against the Steelers and then stubs his toe on Matt Schaub's face and they both suffer career-ending injuries due to infected foot fungus.

I agree with this game for game. The optimist in me also has us beating the Packers in Green Bay, but the pessimist in me has us losing to the Browns and the Packers, so the realist in me has us winning one of those and losing the other. And since I think the Browns were a flash in the pan last year (and pre-season has only convinced me of that more), I think the Texans win at their house this year. 10-6 baby.

The south can be won! No, i'm not drinking tea with peyote, but our offense and special teams will give us, the fans, a chance of savoring victory in every game.
Which teams on the schedule have a combination of great field generals and flankers? The Colts, Steelers, bengals, and lions...that's it, five games.
I'm convinced that Garrard will throw more than 3 ints this year and history shows us that their massive pass rushers tend to be neutralized by the OL. T

Vince young? Ja! And though the titans have a defence to fear, those 2 games will come down to kris brown. And all kris does is win and work out.

The Texans didn't show much to get excited about in the pre season. Hope they were saving it for the real games, because they looked very mediocre this summer.

Sept 7 @ Steelers L (nowhere near the level of talent as the Steelers)
Sept 14 RAVENS L (a disappointing loss to a team that is going to be better than people think)
Sept 21 @ Titans W (don't think the Titans are anything special)
Sept 28 @ Jaguars L (Jags outclass the Texans just a little bit)
Oct 5 COLTS W (I think this is the game the Texans pull out in a surprise)
Oct 12 DOLPHINS W (don't expect much from the fins)
Oct 19 LIONS W (Lions aren't going to be very good most likely)
    Oct 26 BYE
Nov 2 @ Vikings L (This depends for me. The Vikings better at everything than the Texans EXCEPT QB. If they get decent QB play, they'll win)
Nov 9 BENGALS W (Bengals window is closed)
Nov 16 @ Colts L (Don't see us winning twice against the Colts)
    Nov 23 @ Browns W (I don't see the Browns repeating last year's performance)
Dec 1 JAGUARS L (Jags making a big run this year)
Dec 7 @ Packers L (I think the Packers will be fine without Favre)
    Dec 14 TITANS W (Boo)
Dec 21 @ Raiders W (Raiders are awful)
Dec 28 BEARS W (Bears are going to be awful)

    8-8

I could see us going anywhere from 8-8 to 11-5 though to be fair.
