Ovarians are from Ovaria. I think you meant ovaries.

Anderson is a good place to start. I have a buddy who is doing his residency right now in Gyno Oncology.

You might want to start with the Women's Hospital. My wife's early stage cancer was handled entirely within their complex. Great Doctors and the newest technologies.

After her cancer was beat, my son was born there too. :)

My mother-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 Ovarian cancer in 2003. She was not expected to live more than 2 years after that. She is now in remission, and has been cancer free for almost a year. Praise God!

MD Anderson is awesome. She moved to Houston (got an apartment down there for 6 months) for treatment there.

    You might consider Texas Oncology.

Texas Oncology is the world's largest group of medical professionals devoted exclusively to cancer care. With 275 practicing physicians, Texas Oncology serves patients at 98 locations throughout Texas and New Mexico, including 33 comprehensive cancer centers.

With Texas Oncology's community-based services, patients have the convenience of receiving all their medical services and supportive services under one roof, in the comfort of their own communities.

Having to make the trip back and forth to MD Anderson for treatment, paying for parking and a lot of walking on the hospital complex to get to where you need to be is pretty taxing on cancer patients. Finding a Texas Oncology location near where you live is much less stress and hassle. It makes it easier for the patient when they are fatigued from treatment and it makes it easier loved ones to help get the patient to a facility near their home or place of employment.

I'm all for alternative treatments when supplemented but its sad when people think all they need is positive thinking, some crystals, and some herb will cure all your problems.

Such a good thread for more obvious attempts at adolescent male humor.
