Kobe vs Vince Carter by the numbers, Vince is better?

Vince Carter has better stats. Hes been playing in the east and cant win a championship or even make the playoffs.

Kobe is much better, seeing hes going against fiercer competition

 

This is why my firm belief is if we are going to trade for a max player like Michael Redd, we really should turn the deal for Vince Carter. Carter has plenty of skills to go along with his athleticism. When his athelticism fades, he'll still be able throw in that offbalance fade away 23 footer. He's a tremendous basketball player that I believe would turn the Rockets into a juggernaut for the next 3 years.

if you think it's easy to get any superstar with bjax and battier and fillers than your wrong. the only reason people wanted redd, was because there were rumors that redd could be had for bjax, battier, and fillers. new jersey are most likely to trade carter for something better.

but of course, if the offer is for our non-stars, then go-ahead, trade.

why is this thread even created? just because your numbers are better doesn't mean anything.

 

I would love to add Vince Carter on this team. He will easily be that consistent 3rd scorer that we always needed. Too bad this is highly unlikely.

Vince in his early years was a monster. IMO he was one of the most dominant swings of this generation. That being said - he never was the same player after the injuries, and his career stats are higher because Kobe started playing ball right out of highschool.

 

You really don't know anything about basketball do you.

Kobe's career stats are hardly a good measuring point because he came off the bench his first two seasons while Carter was a starter.

If you take away Kobe's first two seasons coming off the bench, then Kobe's numbers will blow his out of the water. 29 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 5.6 apg, 46.3 fg%, 35% 3pt%, 1.8 spg, and .8 bpg.


When has Carter averaged 35.4 ppg in a season?

When has Carter scored 81 points in a single game?

When has Carter ever scored 62 points in three quarters, let alone four quarters?

When has Carter ever scored 50 + points in fours consecutive games?

When has Carter ever won a scoring title, let alone two?

When has Carter won an MVP?

When has Carter ever lead his team past the semi's?

When has Carter ever won a ring, let alone three?

When has Carter ever averaged 30 ppg in the playoffs?

When has Carter ever won an all-star MVP, let alone two?

When has Carter ever been selected to any first all NBA team, let alone seven times?

When has Carter ever been selected to any first all NBA defensive team, let alone six times?

When has Carter ever hit 12 three pointers in a single game?

When has Carter ever been selected by the majority of coaches and GM's across the NBA as the player they want to take the last shot, year after year?

This thread cannot be serious, how can Vince Carter be compared to Kobe? even by those stats you have to watch the game and realize this is not possible.
