Didn't see anything official, but this was from Fran Blinebury in the game blog tonight:

    7:57 Good news on Artest.

Now the Rockets are saying the doctor's report is there are no signs of lingering injury and Ron-Ron can return to the lineup whenever he's ready.

How about an Artest homecoming Friday night in Indiana?

I'll take it, but I hope he doesn't mess up the chemistry this team has going right now. The bench unit does need some scoring though with Aaron Brooks in a slump, so I'll take Artest.

I rather have him take his time to completely rest his ankle then coming in and out the roaster.

Please dear god let it be true.

We are playing well, but we could use an Artest rocket. So to
    speak.

Does Battier need any rehab? Ron could take his minutes if neccessary.

Now that TMac and Ron Ron are almost ready to return, smart management of all players' playing time would make the whole team healthy and fresh for the playoff. I trust coach Adelman would not let us down in that regard. Go Rox.

I thought the broadcast mentioned something about Artest returning in time for Indiana, too.

according to jon feigen, both mcgrady and artest could be back on monday in nyc. however, adelman sounds a bit reluctant.

"That’s great that that happened," Adelman said of Artest’s encouraging test results. I have to see him on the floor. I have to see how he is reacting, how he plays. It was terrific news, but I guess I’m not going to get too elated. We’ll deal with how Ron practices if he practices tomorrow. I’ve given up on timetables. Those guys, if they’re going to play in the games, they have to go out and practice."

Fair call by Rick. Sounds like this is all being handled properly now.

Bill Worrell announced during the game last night that Artest is cleared to play from the MRI taken today.

you would think that should have been done the first couple of times as well.

i am glad they are forced to practice before they get on the court.

Good for Coach Adelman. That is the proper approach. Quit babying these guys and make them show theyre healthy in practice first.

I was speaking more along the lines of:

    1. Rick Adelman finally taking charge of the team

    2. Tmac finally getting in shape

    3. The team finally going Yao Centric

    4. The organization standing up to Ron and Tmac

    Etc..etc..etc...

This whole year has been "better late than never"....
