    More about Posey:

ESPN's Jay Bilas on him when he was drafted:

    EXPERT ANALYSIS

"James Posey is a stellar NBA prospect, and could be a lottery pick. Posey is long-armed and lean, with very good athletic ability. He can get out and defend on the perimeter, often playing the point on Xavier's press. He is always around the ball and in on the play, and puts out maximum effort on every possession.
Posey is a very good defender and rebounder, and he can play in the open court. He runs well, and perhaps more importantly, he runs hard and finishes at the rim. Posey has improved every year, and still has not seen the ceiling of his potential. Posey's question marks have come on the offensive end, especially his ability to handle the ball. If he shows he can put the ball down, he'll be a lottery pick, because I believe he has the perimeter shooting ability. Posey has improved his range and can hit the 3-pointer. Posey will be a solid NBA player."

Another interesting fact is that his fg % was very high (above .500) during his college career. This is encouraging.

Mikley Mantell. Isn't that cool ;).

I guess that means he will wear No. 42 since Rice has 41 and we will not retire 42 for Kevin Willis... :).

Taller Shandon Anderson. Maybe a tiny bit more skilled offensively, but not much if at all. Artest is much MUCH better.

Wow...a degree in Criminal Justice. MoTaylor could get legal advice when the time comes :D

    Posey is like

    OPTIMISTIC: Scottie Pippen (pre-Rocket years)
PRAGMATIC: Ron Artest without the abrasiveness
    PESSIMISTIC: Shandon Anderson

No matter who is offensive game is like, this guy is what we needed everywhere else. If he can take the tough defensive matchup and give us a legit offguard to backup Mobes he will be a good fit. We are going to see guys that we cannot currently defend in the playoffs (Kobe, Finley, Marion, Peja/Hedo, Shard, etc.), if Posey can slow them down (I wish Cat could) we'll have a much better chance against them.

If we had to play a really good offensive team, we could put Jauquin Hawkins and Posey in at the same time. Who is better? I just have to see tonight.

It said he played the 1 in college sometimes, what do you think about him distributing the ball and mobley and francis getting good shots? He could be sort of Lamar Odom, but not worryin about his own shot.

Actually I think it said he played the point in Xavier's zone defense.

Francis was a 2 in college...Mobley was our starting point guard a few years ago...that's sad. I think Moochie does a good job distributing the ball but he makes a lot of turnovers as well. Steve Francis has to prepare to shoot and make a shot. He is better at shooting off the dribble.

    JUST WATCH TONIGHT'S GAME...

MAYBE James Posey will be AWESOME and win the game for us....OR MAYBE he will PLAY 1 MINUTE and be LOST.

I think it said he would d-up the opposing point gaurd I in no way expect him to bring the ball up the court and neither should you, this is the guy we put on the other team's best scoring option be it at pg sg or sf.

We have plenty of people who can score...Francis, Yao, Mobley, Rice, Griffin, and Moochie. Now we have another guy that we can go to in times of difficulty.

I agree. His main role is to play good defense against guys like Glenn Robinson.
