Previous commitment so did I not watch.

Form the box score and comments he sounds about right as rookie QB.

Did not expect win when AF was out again.

Blue is rookie so not likely to repeat last week.

With no running game results expected.

Not accurate? Rushing throws will do that.

But he will have rest of year to audition.

Then if he fails, high QB pick. Or savage takes a shot? Hope not, think he is backup material only.

Well, it had been previously reported that Mallet had accuracy issues but anyone who tried to point this out got shouted down so, MEH.

Mallett was garbage today, no doubt about it. However since when does one game define your career? Especially since he had a great game last week. The biggest difference from this week and last week was the running game. It took so much pressure off of him and today he was asked to win the game with his arm in only his 2nd start.

It's his 2nd game... Give him time. If he continues to play like poop, then we can talk.

One thing I did like is he made quick reads.

    The guy rarely gets sacked.

And he threw to open receivers for the most part.

The ball just did not get to the receivers hands.

from max contract to get off my monster turf! i find it amusing.
we have another game to evaluate. the jags can bring it on defense. they nearly impaled luck before halftime.

That didn't take long. From hero to zero. We'll see what he does next week.

Two games equals a very small sample. I think he was even more "amped" up for the home game. Too much mustard on his throws. He will settle down. Today was a lot of pressure against a playoff team. Next two weeks he gets to practice against lotto teams. Let's see what he does. He could use a little help too. Like a running game and a stout defense.

    Mallett is garbage? Seriously?
    He's had two starts.
Bengals managed to shut down Texans running game so he got no help there.
Touch can be coached and rapour with your receivers take s a little time.

People were talking about franchising him after one start. Anyone who said "he has only had one start" was shouted down. Run game and line dominated his first start and not his second. He was highly inaccurate today on wide open guys.

I think people worked themselves up into a frenzy over the weeks begging for Mallet that when he started well they blew their wad.

@MarkBermanFox26: Ryan Mallett played with an injured right pectoral muscle. He'll have an MRI. Could miss a few games.

Savage is a project QB. Throw him out there too early and you could ruin him. It's not the same situation as Mallett who's a free agent after the season. If Savage is ready, then fine. But if he's not, he's not, and shouldn't be thrown to the wolves. We don't have to see what we have in him right away.
