Farewell Rodgers. He really misses Suarez this season. Focused on buying loads of mediocre players instead of few, but impactful superstars. What did you expect was going to happen, Rodgers?
Its a damn shame Sturridge is made out of glass as well. Balotelli shouldn't be playing this bad, but him not playing alongside Sturridge is partly to blame.
I really don't know why you Americans care so much about mediocre English teams. It's as if someone in Europe just woke up and randomly decided to become a fan of the Philadelphia 76ers or the Utah Jazz. Sturridge? Balotelli? Rodgers? None of them is going to do anything on the big European stage, and not even in the Premier League. Just become Bayern, Barca or Real fans. At least these teams have a shot at winning the Champions League.
Nah breh... LFC were a force when I started watching them back in the day. But if you're talking about the last few seasons post Rafa, then yes, LFC was in a major rebuilding mode after how badly H&G raped the organization. We'll be a force once we get the correct high profile manager. None of this mid-table ex-managers. Bayern, Barca, and Real are too generic.
I watch Madrid and Barca games on the side, but really its because I'm just a fan of Neymar and James Rodriguez as well as Ronaldo. Its just easier to root for an English-speaking team in an English-speaking league. Also helps that Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge were my two favorite EPL players and I like Balotelli too. I first just started watching Liverpool games to watch Sterling and Sturridge. Then I just started to root for the team as a whole. I never did the same for the Madrid or Barca games I watched. Also, what's the point of rooting for a perpetual powerhouse (in Madrid, Bayern, and Barca's case)? The Spanish leagues have no real competition outside of Barca and Madrid the majority of the time since those two teams just outspend everyone. Yes, there are lapses at times but at the end of the day there is not enough competition.
So happy he broke the record. Now he can just play. The record was weighing on him last few Liga games. Next up CL goal record.
Liga has some real competition this year besides Barca and Madrid. And how can you say no to watching the best footballer of all time? Watching Messi play is simply a privilege. The guy is absurdly good not just with his goals, but his all around game.
BBayern coming from behind to take a 2-1 lead. And btw Bayern are down to 10 men with Benatia sent off
Well, probably 50% of those goals belong to Alonso and Boateng. Whatever, ***** happens. Won the group anyway.
