The wife and I saw the trailer a bit back, going to give the series a run this weekend. We loved Weeds so hoping this delivers.
I've watched 1.5 episodes so far and I'm struggling to keep interest. Not my cup of tea I guess. /shrug
I didn't really get into it until about the 4th episode. First few episodes were needed to set the story up and introduce the characters. I was glad I stuck with it because it gets much better. I really enjoyed it and can't wait for the next season to come out.
to each his own. I really enjoyed orange is the new black and the first 3 or so seasons of weeds were great
I think I've seen 7 episodes. It's pretty good. I don't think it's great, and if I never got to see another one, I'd be fine. But it's still better than most television, and enjoyable enough that I'll watch it all eventually.
I liked the first 3 seasons of weeds also, but what came after that is just inexcusable and sent him way way down there on my list.
Funny that this thread should get bumped, since I just started watching it yesterday and marathoned my way through and finished today. 7.5/10. It definitely has its moments, and there's some fine acting by Peyton/Eli Manning's cousin Taryn Manning (the methhead junkie) as well as Crazy Eyes. I don't much care for the nearly 2 minute long intro, though, as much as I like Regina Spektor. Buzzfeed did a '23 Amazing Facts about OITNB' and, yes, Piper does look like Jared Leto. yeah, I'm pretty sure there was a lot of internal pressure from showtime to keep making the show, and I don't think she was very happy about it, or at least that's the vibe I got from what I read toward the end of the series
I love this show... haven't had a chance to watch the new episodes yet. I hope they give us more back story on crazy eyes, she is by far my favorite character!
