Man we have been spoiled with the Batman world.

    The cartoon was badass.
    The new trilogy was spectacular.
And the Arkam Asylum/City games were just spectacular.

I'm hoping they use Year One for inspiration.

I'm calling it now that you will see Victor Zsasz in the show. Who else do you think might be in the show? I was thinking maybe Cobblepot would be mentioned but don't think there going to be any rogues that people will know.

My first thought was Zsasz as well. Maybe Calendar Man and the Falconi crime family as well.

This seems weird to me. How will they deal with batman? will he even exist in the show?

It's set way before Batman in Gordon's early days as a cop.

no batman. this will be about Gordon. i'm very intrigued by this. but i hope they don't turn it into a villain of the week kind of thing like Smallville.

That would be great. He already does the voice work for him and he looks just like him. And he could still play Gordon in the movies. I'm sure it would be no problem making him look older.

I think this show would actually benefit from a little comic book "campy-ness" and movie-quality cinematography, otherwise how would it really be different from a detective show set in NYC?

I think we had that same problem with twenty-somethings singles shows in the late '90s; that's why game shows and reality television had such a hard time catching on at first.

Outside of BB, Cranston doesn't really look that old. The show is set in his early days as a detective so it wouldn't be crazy to assume he'd be in his mid 30s early 40s.

Wow I just looked it up and Cranston is 57. Maybe they should go with someone younger. Someone who could also be able to rough up some bad guys.

They should cut superhero shows like Game of Thrones, following different characters from throughout the universe. That's how comics unfold. Gordon's character only getting 50% of the screen time, max.
