Will people discount Harden's performance because of the crotch kick?

lol. The media won't say 2 words about the rockets. All they're going to talk about is Lebron missing those last two free throws.

There wasn't even a forward thrusting of his leg. Harden raised it and kept it in front of him to ward off LeBron.

Unfortunately, the media is going crap all over Harden for this - instead of showing Harden breaking down LeBron with crossovers, they'll probably show "The Kick" on a continuous loop.

 

The Rockets won't be spoken of.

It should have been a double tech on Harden and James. James would have been ejected on national TV, so that was quickly nixed.

Honestly...and this is not to disrespect the thread owner, because it's a fair question, but does it really matter?

The only thing that matters is Harden played his tail off, and we came out with the W. No one looks back at the bad boys Pistons days and calls them "Cheaters."

Harden got caught up in the moment after being slapped about 5 times, just like Lebron got caught up and shoved Beverley back to the ground.

 

That crotch "kick" was barely even that. It was more like he was just sticking his leg out there to keep Lebron from getting closer to him. It's not like he cocked his leg bag and struck out with it.

I'm fine if it's called a kick. I think technically it could fit. It just isn't worth anyone talking about it any more than people should talk about LBJ pinning and trying to hold Beverley to the ground earlier in the game.

 

Espn has led out with the kick from harden and scuffle between lbj and Bev. That's the media....even hardens post game interviewer slid the kick comment in there.

 

If we would have lost, they would have been on hardens azz for it

 

Harden's the leading scorer in the league, Top 10 in assists, doesn't have a star player alongside him all season, and is leading a Top 3 seed in the toughest conference possibly ever.

That was nothing. Harden clearly didn't do it on purpose or do it hard. Has anyone been kicked in the nuts... flat out hurts. Lebron would have been on the floor screaming in pain and would not be standing up. Lebron was just pulling the theatrics... or... he might just have a tiny tiny wang and figured if he didn't show any emotion the world would find out. If you don't believe it let someone kick you heel first in the nuts and see if you recover.

 

It was a take down initiated by LeBron. Two hands take down. It was so clear on the reply. No one can't fault Harden for being upset about it. The kick was not an over-reaction for a reasonable person in that situation. He was thrown to the floor by LeBron!!!

 

Depends whether "the media" picks out the one most negative thing, like OP.

watching the replay Harden's eyes are looking down, he just throws a little kick to get LeBron off him. I think it was just an accident it hit his nuts
