http://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/i..._rutgers_qb_tom_savage_a_draft_wild_card.html http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/tom-savage?id=2543640 I think this guy is high on BOB's draft board. He even referenced him when talking about other good, off-the-radar QBs. He was also his first pro day stop. This guy has all the physical tools and can be had in the mid-rounds. Big hands and strong arm. He's starting to generate buzz. I see a huge rise up draft boards the closer we get to May. Haven't seen him play, but everything I've heard sounds intriguing. Have folks seen him play? Thoughts? How's his accuracy?
I haven't seen him play but hear a lot of good things about his arm... He seems like a project but most of these guys are. WalterFootball doesn't even have him ranked (last time I checked). But he seems like an O'Brien kind of guy as well. Thanks for starting the thread.
Yea, they had Geno being drafted by Cleveland in the 1st last year. But mock drafts are just a guessing game. I was speaking of the player rankings.

How are dude's stats*? Some liked the Yates pick coming out of college, but his TD/Int was barely 1. *not saying stats are everything
With almost every QB in this draft being small of stature, it's not a surprise that everyone with a legit body frame would be in consideration. That said, I dunno about him being drafted before the 4th.
Mike Meltzer and Seth Payne talked to one of the radio hosts in Pittsburgh today, asking him what he thought about Tom Savage being the Texans pick at 2:1. The response was "WTF, are you crazy? Is this a joke? Don't you have better things to talk about in Houston?" Pittsburgh guy thought Savage was maybe the 15-20th best QB in the draft. Yeah, I doubt he's in serious contention for the Texans second pick though possibly in contention for a 5th.
If the Texans haven't gotten a QB by the 5th, why bother? That's where you go to draft your backup and the Texans already have 3 of those.
In no way am I saying that I want Tom Savage. But that guy they had on seemed FAR from knowledgable on just about every topic.
Gil Brandt @Gil_Brandt 30m I think he'll go in top 40. RT @NFL_CFB: @BuckyBrooks reviews tape to find out if QB Tom Savage is worthy of hype: http://on.nfl.com/1ipqYs8
It's the name. Savage?! Oh ****, get that guy. Merciless? Oh ****, get that guy. I'm naming my kid Max Crusher.
