Power play from his agency. The same group that reps the Miami big 3 and Melo.

IMO Stern is gonna milk the Lakers for a couple draft picks to clear the deal... if this doesnt all just reak of conflict of interest....

This is a ridiculous position for Cuban to take, especially in this situation. CP3 has a lot of leverage here, as he's paid his dues and will be a FA soon. After the season, he has the right to simply walk away, and the Hornets will get NOTHING in return, thereby setting the franchise back years. How exactly does that help the Hornets' "ability to compete," pray tell?

Forcing Paul to stay in NO this year won't solve anything, nor does it send a message to anyone (other than the fact that NBA owners are petty, spoiled brats).

Make the Lakers include picks and take back bad contracts, Let the Rockets keep their pick.

Lakers get Paul, Thabeet and Ariza
    Rockets get Gasol
Hornets get Scola, Martin, Dragic and a 1st from LA.

Rockets can then amnesty Flynn and save more money!

Scola, Martin, Dragic and a pick is way too much. Scola, Flynn, T-Will and a pick. If we get Gasol, we would need Martin.

Is Gasol TWICE as good as Scola? ..,cause he gets paid MORE than double Scola, theyre the same age.... plus were gonna give up an upper level SG, our BU pg and a first rd pck for the priveledge of paying double to Gasol... I still dont get it...
And if its to sign Nene to the contract he's gonna command... we're idiots...

He doesn't need to be twice as good as Scola. There are more players involved in the trade, so comparing their contracts to one another is rediculous.

Gasol has one thing that Scola doesn't - height. There is a premium put on skilled big men, especially Gasol.

That's just a funny thought, Ariza back to the Lakers.
