    "He is a home run".

David Thorpe talking about Morris' ability as a bb player.

Ladies and Gents, we got ourselves a PLAYER!

More than anything else I've heard, Thorpe's assessment of Morris has me pumped. He really knows his stuff.

Wow. This really gets me pumped. I hated the pick at first, but I'm becoming a believer.

For anybody who doesn't know who Thorpe is, he's not related to Otis. Here's his wiki page.

I don't expect All-Star but I anticipate at least a solid contributor right out of the gates.

Yeah, but that's not even close to what he said about Morris :)

I dont think fans realize how well this guy can shoot. You've got people comparing him to Mike harris, landry, marion, terrence morris, but this guy has a glen rice-smooth jumper AND can hit it off a move or on the move like a typical swingman.

Say that one more time....I don't think they heard you.

Glen Rice or a more focused, quicker, Glenn Robinson....

    They'll see.

Best part of the story for me. Some guys just "have it", others don't... sounds like Morris has it.

That is good to hear coming from a respected guy like Thorpe, instead of just a nobody like me. Seriously.

Nice read; nice to read. I just wish Thorpe had no bias invested in MM...

Although I haven't been on the Morris bandwagon before the draft, since the pick I've been saying the dude is a 3. Anyone that watched him play knows he can play that position and I think the only reason he fell that far was because teams had the idea that he was a stretch 4.

I think he'll be playing both Forward positions for us a lot, but on the offensive side he'll always be a 3.

Well I admit. You can't hear any better things about a player than that. It sounds like everything we could want and I admittedly was skeptical....but obviously, you cna't just ignore a report like that from someone like Thorpe.

No i am starting to see what he said in Marcus Morris he has a chance to be real solid for us. I mean borderline allstar if not more at the Small Forward position. It is gonna be real hard to gaurd him at the same time people say it might be hard for him to gaurd others. You are playing against a guy who could play Power forward but quick enough to be a small forward. Thats a physical advantage guys like Carmelo, Lebron, Peirce and others of his size enjoy. He has a stroke and post up too. Might as well use it at the Small forward position where he outmuscles most others and is tall for that position.

Marcus Morris will start at the 3 in the very near future
