There's no denying he's one of the best players in the league . The only question is how good can he become ? Also how much talent can we put around him and can he raise his game up in the playoffs ? I'm still pretty optimistic on all of those answers.
I think he Can catch the steals it's the points that is going to be tough imo. Hakeem is like what number 10 or 11 all time in points and That's only because Kobe and dirk have passed him with Lebron and KD surely to pass him in the next few seasons. I don't doubt at all that harden can score 25k points in this league but to do that in a rockets jersey with his OKC numbers he would be like 1500-2000 points shy of 30k Which maybe he can get that much but that's going to be really hard to do. Will he be houstons 2nd point total leader after the next 3 seasons? Most likely... Will he hit 25k career points? Pretty damn good chance. But eclipsing Hakeem's point total? Doubtful but it's def possible and that's impressive in its own right. I would be shocked if harden doesn't end up in the top 15 points off all time def has a chance to get to top 10 but to pass Hakeem he would have to get to top 5 and I'm not so sure. But if he plays the rest of his career here in Houston he will go down as the 2nd best Rocket of all time, he'll have to win at least 2 rings and 2 MVPs to even think about passing Hakeem but anything more than that and I'll give him the nod no questions asked.
