Injuries. The Rockets sustained so many injuries you would have thought they were carpooling with Derrick Coleman.

Another unwelcome development -- or lack thereof -- was the play of Cato.

After giving the 7-foot center a six-year, $42 million contract, Cato responded with a level of play that would qualify him for underachievers anonymous. The guy simply acts as if he doesn't care, and it's rubbing some members of the organization -- players and management -- the wrong way.(so I guess that they are dissapointed wish means that heyparter might be right about Cato being gone ) Everyone appreciates his tremendous potential and athletic ability, but all that means nothing without effort attached to it.

And his non-stop jawing with referees made it hard for guys like Francis, Mobley and Anderson -- the guys who go the basket for a living -- to get calls. The guys took a beating because referees got tired of hearing the Rockets (Cato usually) b**** about non-calls.
(not good is it ? )

Rogers is another who showed potential, but seemed more effective as a player who gets 10-15 minutes per game. In longer stints, Rogers seemed to get used defensively and wound up in foul trouble. But that also could have been because of his lack of bulk -- the guy looks like a tattooed breadstick.

Walt Williams was a major disappointment -- for the first 60 games or so. After that, Williams was rolling, scoring 20 or more points in eight of his last 13 games.
