Damn. I clicked yes before I realized the Rock was going to be in it. I want my vote back.

The key to Jack Burton being funny was him thinking he was more badass than he really was. The Rock is always kicking everyones ass.

^Right? Why not just do a continuation??? A remake??? 80's, a word of advice: make me come to you. Don't be so needy. It's tacky.

I love the Rock. Corniest mother****er in the industry, but he has that charm and that macho badass demeanor.

Anyone remember the Harry Potter movies?

I grew up on them and hope they'll be doing a remake of the series soon.

When some wild-eyed eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the bar room wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks you if you've paid your dues, you just stare that big sumbitch right back in the eye and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that, "Have ya paid your dues, Jack?" "Yessir, the check is in the mail."

It's not like a remake will make the original less iconic. I'm watching this ****. I don't care. The Rock is awesome.

How can this get a remake before the Last Dragon? No black kung-fu masters running around?

Way to ruin a childhood favorite.

And The Rock? How can you replace Kurt Russell with the Rock? Jack Burton's character has to be completely different for them to pull this off.

I suspect this will be a remake in name only
Various elements of the original but alot will be left out

BTW - The Poltergeist remake was boring trash

You know what movie really needs remaking...The Shawshank Redemption. Starring Ed Helms and Samuel L. Jackson. That would change Hollywood.

Most of these movies are only beloved because of the nostalgic factor. For example, Patrick Swayze Red Dawn is ****ing awesome. And ****ing terrible.
