in all fairness....wasn't that consensus on Quinn when we didn't even try to match his Detroit offer?

 

Not really...i think the majority of the fanbase that knew anything realized we lost a really good player because of poor cap management/decisions.

 

A big issue with him is that he has range, but is found out of position or takes a bad angle when he was already in good position. That's been the knock on him. Maybe he can improve on that, but Im guessing we will have moments with him when we cheer for him like crazy, while we have other moments where we dont even want him on the field. In other words, he's an average replacement for the average safety we lost.

 

I honestly think there's even a better chance that Shorts won't make it through the season. I think he's a good piece to have in the receiving core but he's ALWAYS injured and or playing hurt.

 

Hanging with Harden after the game tonight probably.

wish he could be on bones with emily, everyone knows that's the hot sister.
jj is so hot right now. he is getting roles Lala wishes she could get. watt letting everyone know you don't need L.A or NY to be awesome. Next, watt to portray young politician in house of cards season 5.

 

There's just as good a chance that Dre doesn't make it through the season so that's a wash.

 

Shorts is way more injury prone

 

Meh, they both are pretty injury prone but Shorts is a lot younger. Also with Johnson losing a few steps he'll be taking much harder hits which we've already seen take him out of the game before.

 

Andre has missed one game in the past three years.

Shorts has never gone a whole season without missing at least two games.

So you're wrong on the facts. Again.

And the young buck had a much worse year than old man Andre last year.

 

Andre has been injured a lot and played through it, also if you make that 4 years it's 10 games. We'll see what happens but he's had all sorts of hamstring issues the past several years also it wouldn't surprise me to see more concussion issues in the future. A slow moving big target is going to get hit pretty solidly more often.

Bobbythegreat lol man you be on the basketball front arguing too. Hahaha what does Andre have to do with Shorts anyways. Dre is no longer a Texan so there's no need to bring him up. Shorts is injury prone, hopefully he won't be this season. I am hoping he puts up good numbers for us this season as well. He is capable of it though.

 

It was in a conversation about how the Texans IMO are as good or better at WR this season than last. I was talking with someone who apparently still thinks that it is several years ago when Andre was still one of the best WR's in the NFL.

 

I hear ya on that but I will have to see it for myself. Hopefully you are spot on with this assessment. Now as far as Andre yes he was still one of the best. In 2013 he had over 100 catches with 1400+ yards. And this season with our mediocrity QB play from four different QB'S, he put up 900+yards with 80+catches. That my friend is still remarkable. But oh well let's see if Hopkins will be just as great as Andre during his tenure here.
