Hi everyone. Apologies if this is in wrong section or not appropriate.
I arrived in Houston yesterday (from Australia) and saw my 1st Rockets game against the Bulls. Blew me away and was more than I was expecting. Just awesome.
But back to the point - I booked in a Toyota Center tour which I took this morning with my 2 kids. Cost us $17 total and the nicest guy (Harold) took us around the stadium. We got photos on centre court and elsewhere throughout.
We were also in luck, bumping into Joey Dorsey near the Rockets dressing room, who was kind enough to spend a few minutes talking to us and get a photo with us - seemed like a really nice guy.
Learnt so much more about the Rockets than I thought I already knew.
If you're visiting from out of town, I'd highly recommend the tour (even if you're not as lucky as we were to see or meet players).
Thanks Harold for making our time in Houston even better than we could've imagined.
We found out about the tour through the Rockets website.
Looking forward even more now to going back on the weekend to see us play Portland.

We could only go out front of the Rockets locker rooms as they were expecting players coming through given we played their last night. But we went through quite a few of the 'special and very expensive suites' (that I'll never be able to afford but looked amazing)' ie Lexus and a number of others that tended to blend after a while.

Very cool man, glad you are enjoying your visit. If you need some ideas on restaurants to check out while you are in town feel free to ask or fire up a thread in the Hangout. Hopefully the Rox make the trip even sweeter by destroying Portland this weekend :)

Welcome to HTown! Cheers. That actually sounds pretty sweet. Always cool to see the players outside the game atmosphere.

Welcome! I took a tour like that at MSG when I visited NYC. Didn't know the Toyota center did tours.

And I'm 6 foot 4. Felt like a midget next to Dorsey.

Weird, I totally had no idea that there were tours of the TC. For only $17, we can basically go behind the scenes AND have the possibility of meeting some of the players?? Who else knew about this?
