People...the Knicks missed having the #1 pick by ONE number in the lottery....that could have been the difference in us tanking a game or 2 at the end of the season and winning a meaningless game that may have built character!!!!!

I am proud to remain an anti-tanker. I much prefer to see the Rockets win. As fo the#1 pick, we got lucky as hell hopefully the brass will have the good sense to trade the pick

Actually, this is proof as to why you shouldn't tank.

I'm still an anti-tanker, #1 pick or not. If I were to do it all over again, I would still want the Rockets to keep winning.

Of course, the Rockets did get lucky, and I'm damn happy. :D But, this was a rare payoff.

I'm in the "controlled tank" school. Like San Antonio perfected a few years back, the trick is to not tank too much. One tank too much, and we would be picking fifth instead of Denver. One tank too little, and we would be picking sixth instead of Cleveland.

I don't think teaching players how to lose or "tank" is good at all. I don't think this team tanked at all, I seriously doubt if Rudy T, Francis, and Mobley would ever lose on purpose. It had nothing to do with tanking, it was injuries disrupting the season plain and simple.

If we had TANKED we would have picked 5th instead of Denver. I'm happy we did not tank, and the good karma brought us the 1st pick. I will never believe any good can come from trying to lose. Due to injuries we played some pretty bad lineups in the end, but even they won "unwinable" games and gave their best to win more. Believe it or not, but with the trouble we had last season we were just this bad. Maybe we could have won a few more games having Cat and others play with injuries. But letting them rest to heal when we are eliminated from all possibilities of making the playoffs is not tanking. The fact that they played as much as they did with injuries should be proof that they tried their best.
