Supposing this Dragic we are seeing now is the real deal, he would be too good a talent to just let walk away in free agency. We already did consciously overpay a little with Scola so I don't discount our front office doing that with Dragic. So more than his worth, the question is how much would you pay to avoid losing him?

pay Dragic what he asks for and trade away Lowry.
i love Lowry, but we can get a good amount in return for Lowry, KMart/Scola, and a draft pick.

Can we still do sign and trade? I just don't want to lose him for nothing, I think Kyle is overall a better point guard than Dragic and his contract is super cap room friendly...

Dragic gives us the same production as Lowry, if not more. Trade Lowry since he can net us an all-star big and we have ourselves a contender.

    for example?

Dragic will get more than KLKow and therefore one must go...regrets...look out for Blazers in FA pitch, even PHX. Utes?

I am hoping they with money to burn burn it elsewhere.

I am hoping DM the GM pays GD and doesn't make the market set the price.

If Goran would sign a new deal today I would say the Rockets should do it at $6-8M. However I see him testing free agency unless we trade Lowry beforehand and hand Goran the starting role.

At this point, I am hoping we can get him for Conley money.

I know Dragic has ties to Phoenix, but I'm not sure if he will go back. The way the FO dealt him...in the press conference after the trade for Brooks they said that he wasn't the rightful heir to Steve Nash as everyone thought and that he "is a better person than a basketball player". That's kind of a back handed complement if you ask me..

Lowry's contract is artificially low because he was a RFA and we didn't have to compete with anyone. We just had to match.

With Dragic, we will be competing for his services. He is going to get Conley numbers.

Hopefully Dragic wants to stay here and he'll accept Conley money. I have a funny feeling if someone offers him $9 million or so that Morey isn't going to bite on that.

Whatever the market bares is what we should pay. Goodteams keep their up and coming talent.

This offseason and particularly Gorans situation will tell a lot about whether the rox are serious about winning or are just blowing smoke up our collective asses.

We can sign&trade Dragic, but I think it's doubtful that we will, as there's no benefit for players to ask for a sign&trade anymore (raises and # of years are the same).

So the only reason we might be able to do a sign&trade deal would be if Dragic wants to play for a team that's over the cap or hasn't enough room to sign Dragic.

Most teams that I'm guessing will be interested in Dragic however will have enough cap space (Blazers, Raptors, Pacers, Suns).

If a team like Utah doesn't draft a PG in the draft, they might be interested in sign&trading for Dragic.
Not sure what else is out there. A S&T with the Jazz might be our best bet.

If I'm Morey, I would probably go 5yrs/45 mil.
