Honestly, I am tired of hearing this type of stuff. Scola just signed a big contract, and I hope his performance will deserve his contract in future. Battier is declining too much, and his current performance doesn't deserve his current contract. The weakest position for the current rockets is the small forward position.

Not sure what "does the most with the least" means. Talking about their own skill-sets? Bad teammates?

I noticed Chuck and Scola were mentioned for toughest players in the NBA. =)

Would you like an order of Carmelo Anthony with extra scoring and adequate defense?

Dunno, but there have been some recent subliminal messages regarding Denver, the Nuggets, and Melo.

Actually, I think 'do the most with the least' rockets player is Hayes.

This is easy, the article talks about one's ability to develop skills based on physical abilities. Like the difference between intelligence and knowledge.

With that said, it's easy to see how Scola and Battier are on this list. Neither are blessed physically, but Scola has become a formidable PF because of his smart moves and toughness, and Battier has been able to mask his lack of NBA-caliber athleticisim through his smarts, preparation and ability not to lose focus when Kobe drops a contested three or blows by him from time to time - or even a lot - because Battier knows he's human and that, in basketball terms, Kobe is not.

The article and poll shows nothing but respect for Battier and Scola.

I see your point, but Hayes is not a starter...although he certainly was last year by necessity.

Steve Nash's athletic and ball skills are at all-time elite levels. I think he ran a 4.20 at one point.
