Aaron Brooks vs. Kings: 15 minutes, 3-10 shooting, 9 points, 1 assist <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="560" height="340" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hT1kFDnIHdY&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="560" height="340" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hT1kFDnIHdY&hl=en_US&feature=player_embedded&version=3" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
Very rusty but he is still deadly from 3, should be pretty fun to watch him get his rhythm back off the bench.
Brooks will shake off the rust, he's not even 100% yet. He'll look a lot better once he develops his chemistry with the team again. Also, no one should criticize the number of shots he took tonight. He's role right now is to score, it's what he's most comfortable doing.
I'll judge him more of what he'll be able to do tomorrow. His handles were off today, but his shot from the perimeter looked good.
his shooting stroke is still there but he's gone back to dribbling around the court without a purpose. I hope he changes that as he gets back up to speed. And we definitely need him in the second unit.
Its like the McGrady thing, put him in when he's rusty to say to him' "see you're too RUSTY to get back your role". Then when he's playing better, "we're already playing well with the starters in place"
I like the smile Brooks gives when he steps onto the court for the first time. It's the Ringo Starr "I'm just happy to be here" look.
