[Rockets on TV Tonight] Team USA Scrimmage. Terrence Jones - White Team

This kid needs to get slapped. He was legitimately one of the worst players in the NBA for his first few years, and if his name wasn't "Rivers" he would've been outta the league. Last year was the first year he didn't look like absolute trash, and he was still a below-average player.

Sadly we made him look about as good as he ever did (or ever will) in that series.

Trade him for what? He gets better every year and was a consistent contributor until he got injured. I don't understand the desire to trade a good player. Jones is a very talented pf, what exactly would you trade him for?

KJ and Thornton are both better than Rivers.

 

Most of the trade Jones garbage is coming from people who are D-Mo fans only.

 

There's no such thing. Most of the people wanting to trade Jones at some point are those who realize that he has no future with the team and would rather get something for him rather than have him walk for nothing in a year.

 

How can anyone say that he has no future with the team? The same team he helped get to the west finals. Anything can happen in a season.

 

Do you honestly think that the Rockets are going to pay both DMo and Jones? They'll have to pick one or neither of them and if they pick one, there's no chance it's Jones.....that's how one can say he has no future with the team. They had to bench him to get to the West finals, had they not, they would have gotten eliminated in the 2nd round.

I really don't know what's going to happen. If a superstar PF becomes available, they could both be gone. If both play well or accept cheap deals, they could both stay. You simply have no clue. Even Morey doesn't know for sure.

Yes keep bringing up bad games. DMo had bad games where people made the excuse he was tired and he could grab only 1 rebound per half.

They both have had many good games and the stats show they are both positive players.

I suppose that's possible, but I think it's highly unlikely. If you're Jones, why sign for less to be a bench player after you already have a ring? I'm sure someone will be willing to pay him that will give him a chance to start, why sign a deal where you know you'll be a primary backup for the entirety of it?

 

Mr. Clutch whats crazy is every year these jokers try to find some type of excuse/reason to get rid of Jones. And each year they've been way off LOL. But who knows they might get it right one of these days.

Don't understand why some fans can't support their team and it's players to the fullest.

 

His issue is with Jones. I don't know what the man do to him but like you just said, it's getting old.
