here's some of the prospects working out for the Rockets. gregwrubell I mentioned Jimmer's June 2nd Knicks workout earlier; Ford says JF has "workouts planned with the Jazz, Suns, Rockets, Pacers and Blazers." AdamZagoria Tobias Harris will work out for every team in the lottery except Minny, Phoenix and Sacramento, per his father Matt McCoy MattMcCoyWTVN Plain Dealer on David Lighty at NBA pre-draft camp. Workouts with Spurs, Bulls, Celtics & Rockets already scheduled http://bit.ly/jDKoEm Houston Marcus Morris May 26 Andrew Goudelock June 16 http://thehoopsreport.com/workouts.aspx?action=Houston
Spoiler On Thursday, the Houston Rockets will host Kansas's Marcus Morris Non-related and may have been posted in the other thread about moving up w/ Kings but As was reported here on Thursday, Houston (14th, 23rd picks) is interested in moving up in the draft. The source with knowledge of the Rockets' desires said they are hoping to do so to either nab Kanter or perhaps San Diego State small forward, Kawhi Leonard. Brampton’s Tristan Thompson, an expected lottery pick after one year at the University of Texas confirmed to reporters at the combine that so far he has scheduled workouts with three teams — the Houston Rockets, the Washington Wizards and the Raptors. Non-workout: Burks said he interviewed with four teams on Wednesday night: the Bucks, Sacramento Kings, Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets. And he had more interviews scheduled Thursday. He did not participate in the basketball drills portion of the combine workouts Thursday on the advice of his agent, Andy Miller. But Burks said he would take part in the agility tests scheduled for Friday. Former Illinois point guard, Demetri McCamey is turning heads in the 2011 NBA Draft Combine. The point guard has already privately worked out for the Houston Rockets and the Washington Wizards, who both have first round picks. McCamey also has a workout scheduled for May 31 with the Chicago Bulls. E'Twaun Moore said he talked with representatives from the Miami Heat and Orlando Magic on Thursday, with more meetings today. He's had a workout with the Houston Rockets and has others scheduled with San Antonio, Miami, Minnesota, New Jersey and Indiana. Darius Morris feels strongly that he’s a first-round talent. He said he has a number of workouts coming up (New York Knicks, Indiana Pacers, Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, Portland Trail Blazers, Oklahoma City Thunder). Non-workout; Jimmy Butler of Marquette(on if he could pick a team to play for): The Rockets, just because that’s my hometown, everyone would be there supporting me, and the fan base is crazy. Houston is where I grew up. That’d be a dream come true. It’s crazy to have that chance, and I’m just going to take it and run with it. But wherever I end up, I’m going to be happy. It’s a dream, and it’s right there, a few more steps and I can grab it.
Unless they plan on moving up, the Jimmer workout is a waste of time. Jimmer would be a good fit in Phoenix and there's also no way the Jazz let him drop past them. They stand to gain the most from drafting him.
This site has workouts: http://hoopshype.com/workouts.htm I think it's generally pretty good, though it doesn't have some of the above workouts (maybe they're interviews and not real workouts).

I like the idea of Marcus Morris, although I am mostly going off of highlight videos, box scores and scouting reports. To someone who watches a lot of college ball, what is the difference between Marcus Morris and Derrick Williams. Probably that Williams is more fluid offensively... But what else? It would be interesting to package #23 and #38 to move up and get both brothers. I still want us to get Derrick Williams.....
Greg Smith had the largest hand measurements ever recorded at the combine I believe. Looks like he is playing with a children's ball. Also, with regard to Vucevic, he had the worst max vertical at the combine (25 inches).
This draft almost parallels (entirely) the 1986 draft. There's going to be some depth and gems to be found.
Malcolm Thomas is working out with the Rockets tomorrow too. Oh well the grind continues Rockets workout tomorrow, about to get this treadmill in the hotel on my day off. http://twitter.com/Malcolm4Thomas/status/73909700483235841
