Hawks' Lue Suspended for Game for Punching NEW YORK - Atlanta Hawks (news) guard Tyronn Lue was suspended by the NBA on Wednesday for one game after he punched Denver forward Eduardo Najera during a loss to the Nuggets on Tuesday night. Lue is expected to serve his suspension when Atlanta visits the Utah Jazz (news) on Wednesday night. With 5:50 left against Denver, Lue got tossed for punching Najera after the Nuggets' big man stole the ball. The 6-foot Lue took two roundhouse shots at the 6-8 forward — enough to get him ejected, but not even close to enough to get a rise out of Najera. "Why would I want to pick a fight with a little guy," Najera said after the game. "It's not fair." Lue declined comment after the game.
Ha, I like Lue and all but he aint Calvin Murphy. He'd get a beatdown by Najera if they really went at it.
I saw that incident during that game. Najera stole the ball and was going for a breakaway. I'm not sure if Najera hit him in the nuts or if it was something earlier in the game, but Lue hits like a girl. Najera even came back up to Lue to find out if everything was ok. It didn't seem to phase Najera.
Anyone who punches Najera is a great guy in my book. His only talents are cheating, hacking, and flopping. He's just a thug - a smart thug, but a thug nonetheless.
Wow, I can't imagine Lue getting into a fight. I think most of the dorks on this bbs could kick his ass.
