They should relocate to Los Angeles instead. That city does not have enough teams.

I think the NBA would do fine. While there are more games, there are also way fewer seats, making average season-long attendance similar to the NFL.

The number of dates are everything though.

If the Warriors played in a football stadium now... they could probably draw 40,000+ every night. Hell, the Pistons once averaged around 30,000+ on a nightly basis at the SilverDome during their contending years.

A great/contending NBA team can sell out 41 home games without any issue.... meanwhile an average (to below) average NFL team can sell out 8 games in a blink of an eye.

Its the middling NBA team that tends to struggle... especially in a transplant market largely based on tourism, at a time of year (winter) where its inherently slower.

Vegas is an amazing city and the Raiders are just an ideal match for them. It just seems right. I can't even begin to imagine what the Super Bowl is going to be like being played in a Las Vegas based stadium though. That's a party a lot of people might not ever recover from!

    First,

Good luck getting out of the stadium. It will be a slot machine and alcoholic trap. Some people may die in there and be found a week later.

Here's the thing tho'. If I'm in Vegas on Sunday, I just don't see myself taking the time to go to a game. I'm not there to do that. I'm there to gamble and party and committing 4 hours for football seems like a total waste. In addition, I don't think personally people will travel to Vegas to play and go see the game either. I just don't. as that's a serious financial commitment. Las Vegas has to be able to support the team with locals or hotels picking up the tickets.

I could not disagree with you more. So many fans are going to plan a vegas trip to see their team. I would absolutely make it an annual tradition and I'm sure a lot of other people would too. I don't understand what you are saying at all about not taking 4 hours to see a football game. How is that different from taking 4 hours to see a show? It's another spectacle and thing to do. I think you are going to struggle to buy tickets.

The Vegas Metroplex is more populated than 9 other NFL markets and they would not be competing with any other pro team. They'll have more than decent local support.

It would be amazing if that actually got done. I'd go just to see the stadium.

Johnny Football just found his dream job. Backup/third string QB for the Las Vegas Raiders. Party all week, show up to games hungover, get paid. Just as long as Derek Carr doesn't get hurt.

NFL needs to shut this down immediately and just officially ban certain franchise markets, Davis might try to sue for any costs up to the league relocation vote.
