Here's the problem...Mallett, by far, was the worst QB on the team last season...he couldnt even put up the "fake" numbers, as you like to put it, that Hoyer put up. Hoyer >>>> Mallett And not even close.
I accept that you think that and that you are doing the best you can but as houstonstime said, this is the Fuller thread, so I'm not going to help you derail the thread further by pointing out the obvious fact that you don't know what you are talking about. Neither Mallett or your boy Hoyer are on the team anymore, so there's really no sense in talking about it. Head to a Bears thread if you want to spin Hoyer's performance.

Rookies are slotted now. There are no holdouts anymore. Agents try to get as much guaranteed money as possible. Also, sometimes there is language in the contract (work out bonuses or incentives, other things) that need to be worked out.

Being in a starter in the NFL literally means nothing. I'd look for him to be in around 35-40% of the offensive snaps the first month of the season. For now, he's basically going to be a deep threat that can be used to stretch the safeties, and not much more. Once he progresses as a receiver, and starts to understand the nuances of the BOB offense, we will probably see him turn into our true #2 opposite DeAndre.
