It's up now... for some reason the time is an hour behind on the post, so when I set it an hour ahead to correct, it "scheduled" to release it then.

    Should be fixed. Thanks...

I agree with Clutch on Afflalo: he is actually 2 months OLDER than Dwight Howard.

Seems like a fourth place instead of the silver medal

I really, really hope we rebuild this year. This purgatory state blows.

You are really under-estimating the phenomenal success the rockets have had: yao made you a contender for years. Prior to that you had dream for back to back rings, and then a proto big three of your own briefly.

Even before dream won you rings he was paired with ralph sampson, an extremely rare combination. And you had moses before then.

This organization has had tremendous success, especially with bigs, and you were a 500 club last year with a bunch of no-names.

But there's always someone who insists upon focusing on the negative. The rockets are a great franchise which has had great success over the years. Morey has been incredibly aggressive but you cant force elite superstars to work and live in cities they don't want to work and live in.

Great listen. I really liked the points about Orlando receiving a substantial Trade Exception, and how aware Daryl Morey seemed to be about the trade prior to its finalization.

That DM didn't up his offer and that the player option was the breaking factor in the deal with Goran Dragic show how firm DM's negotiation parameters are. It seems he sets a value and is very unwilling to exceed it.

That said, are we certain that we were willing to take back bad contracts? It seems to have been one of the stronger concerns for the Magic, because they took back a fairly long contract in Afflalo but must have felt more comfortable in the numbers.

I don't agree with a lot of what they said but interesting nonetheless.

Lot of things I don't agree with Clutch on, respectfully. Still finishing up on the podcast, and will comment later. Just pointing something that stood out so far:

    Regarding Lin,

    "I think he's a good player"

"I just don't see him as a superstar player"

"I just don't see him being worth that contract"

Clutch, Lin is not being paid to be a superstar player. He is paid to be Jameer Nelson. Merely "good", which I also disagree with, is already "worth that contract".

Yeah, but I guess I heard him say that. He is good, might be very good but not a superstar. /over

Lin is only here to be the cash-cow. We all know that, thats also why his contract is only a 3-year deal.

No, his deal is only a 3yr because of the cap situation it would have put NY in.
