I just finished a recent assignment for an advertising class where it was my job to create a billboard for a company that advances their current marketing campaign.. I chose the Rockets.. Part of my assignment was to produce copies of existing billboards around town.. and I noticed that almost every billboard features a player on it that is no longer with the team (JJ, Boki, etc and maybe soon to be Mo Taylor..) Are they planning another wave of billboards or ad campaign with the fresh faces?
Oh, and here's the billboard I came up with.. Not exactly a perfect match of what is out there, and I know the Rockets haven't clinched a playoff spot yet, but I figure this could be used for the home stretch..

Did anyone notice the billboard on the pierce elevated(AKA I-45 in downtown)? All of the rockets who have been traded are in different colored uniforms than the ones who are still playing with us. Maybe if you want to see who will be traded next all you have to do is watch the billboards!!!
I know I have a problem when I saw the back of that player that's hugging TMac, I know righ away it's gains even though he did not play much.
If you are talking about the one on 45 north and I-10, then its down. I noticed that it was gone on the way home today. They also have the team billboard, with JJ, Boki, Tmac, MoT, and Yao on Richmond east bound before Weslayn when i saw it like 2 weeks ago, thats probably down too. btw, good job Donny
Since they've bought the billboard space for X number of months and the season will likely be over before the contract is up, I seriously doubt they'll change them before the end of the season. That's the chance you take.
Is that the one with JJ and Mutombo? I pass by it every day on my way to UH, but I didn't notice today
actually, i take that back, when i was driving home today, i was paying more attention and the billboard in fact, is still there....
