I challenge you to go to an AA meeting and see how much pity is in that room. None. Just people owning their mistakes. Educate yourself before being holier than thou.
Yeah my dad use to tell me than in the late 80s early 90s, Worrell missed almost an entire season due to rehab.
I thought it was cool for him to say that. I've been following the team for nearly 25 years and don't remember it being discussed; at least not on air. That said, and all jokes aside...did Bill look a little rough last night or was it just me? Kinda bloated, or like he had some work done on his face. Who knows? He's kind of a strange looking guy in general, so maybe it's just jarring to see him in HD after a 4 month break.
I don't get why people get plastic surgery. It doesn't make them look younger. It makes them look just as old but now weird.
I have a friend that used to travel with the team and he said that traveling to Canada to play the Raptor (or even the Grizzlies at the time) was always a hassle because people with minor misdemeanors in the US have to pay a fine to be let in through customs. He was surprised to find out that Worrell was on the list of people that had to pay the fine because of a couple a DWI arrests in the 80's. Good on him for getting it together. I'm guessing back in the 80's help for that kinda stuff wasn't as available as it is in this day and age.
Looks like he had a face-lift. Eyebrows going up at a weird angle. I didn't think he needed it. Maybe if I had seen him without makeup. He's one of my favorite announcers.
Bill seems like a cool guy. I can imagine him partying hard and being the life of the party, although alcohol can effect anyone. Glad he was able to overcome his demons. Should be some added positivity for Ty.
It seems like I've heard this before, but I can't remember where. My aunt said that she used to see him at parties in college frequently, and that he liked to enjoy himself.
