As was the case with a previous poster- Ever since I found out Ricky is Denzel's son... I cannot help but notice the voice similarities EVERY SINGLE TIME he talks hah!
Same? IIRC, in the first episode within about 5 minutes there were a few players they ran into at a club, Steven Jackson being one of them? I hope they do some, but don't really mind it, don't want them to over do it.
The ending credits song on the last episode is fiyah'. Have been listening to it non stop since I heard it. https://youtu.be/BSKimd9EX7s
Well there can't be to many people liking this since nobody has talked about this last episode. I on the other hand am really enjoying it. It's extremely entertaining and has its humor.
It's been a little slower but the bonding with Dan Balsamo part was pretty cool. Hopefully the next episode takes off and gives us something for season 2, of there will be one.
I am really enjoying this show, if you are expecting Emmy level acting you will be drastically underwhelmed, but as far as 30 minutes of raw entertainment it's pretty good.
I agree. The show hasn't progressed at all since the pilot. Rock finds out he is doesn't have any lingering side effects from his football playing days. Ricky is Ricky. Yay!!! I really wanted to like this show and had high hopes cause its on HBO, but so far its pretty lame.
What do you mean the plot isn't progressing? There are so many storylines- What's going to happen between Vern and Reggie? Is Spence going to follow Joe? Is Ricky's ex going to take him back? Is Charles going to make the Dolphins? Does he still desire to play after finding out he's going to be a dad? Is Spence going to stop having nightmares?
Season finale was meh. Everyone pretty much had a happy ending. Doesn't feel like an hbo show. I keep expecting a main character to die.
It was ok but did feel strangely tidy with everyone being happy and whatnot. Guess they wanted to wrap it up in case it didn't get a second season, only thing I can imagine....
None of the story lines were intriguing at all and they went nowhere. The show got better then plateaued for half the season. I feel like I wasted my time. This was obviously a fall back for the Rock if his movie career didn't take off. I thought this show was "average". I'm changing my vote to "what the hell was that?"
Did it get renewed for season 2? It all ended so calmly with no very conflict to carry over into a future season.
Yea it got renewed but not till after it was done filming. I'm sure they just did the happy ending in case it didn't get renewed.
