Was hoping Jeremy Evans would be there

This roster is meh. I have a feeling Shumpert will ask Lin for an oop or something.

    - The 2012 Sprite Slam Dunk in Orlando will feature a series of firsts, including four first-time participants, a new single-round format in which the winner will be chosen solely by fan vote, and the introduction of fan voting via Twitter.
The four players who will vie for the Sprite Slam Dunk championship on Feb. 25, at Amway Center in Orlando (TNT, 8 p.m. ET) include the Houston Rockets' Chase Budinger, the Indiana Pacers' Paul George, the New York Knicks' Iman Shumpert, and the Minnesota Timberwolves' Derrick Williams.

A new format will be implemented for the 2012 competition. The contest will consist of only one round and each competitor will execute three dunks. Fan voting will open after all four players have completed their first dunk. Previously, the Sprite Slam Dunk contest consisted of two rounds, with the first round scored by a panel of judges which determined two finalists.
Beginning this year, only fan voting will be utilized in determining the winner and voting also will expand to social media. For the first time ever, fans will be able to cast votes on Twitter by posting a corresponding letter assigned to each dunker along with the hashtag #SpriteSlam. Since 2008, fans have determined the winner of the Sprite Slam Dunk through SMS TXT and voting on NBA.com as part of the "They Dunk. You Decide" campaign.

Hmm... wasn't it the fans who voted Nate Robinson over Dwight Howard a few years ago?

I like how they're doing all their dunks in one round now. We get to see every contestant's best dunks rather than contestants waiting to display their best dunks for the final round, which half don't get to anyways.

Bud will win this. His dunks will get more cred because he's white.

Since it's strictly fan voting, the Asian guy involved will win this.

If only there's an Indian player in the NBA that can dunk.

It'll be an epic battle of East Side vs Sauff Side.

Ya'll might be surprised. I think Bud has as good a chance as anyone who's competing.

    DW doesnt stand a chance.

Bud has the ability to win, but will depend on dunk selection.

Here's a dunk mix the Rockets put up:

George and Shumpert are better style dunkers though, and it'll come down to those two. don't be surprised if they put on a solid show, especially shumpert, who should win.

They need to make a mandate that SDC contestants must also be All-star players.

How the hell did Chase get picked? I would rather have Parsons instead.

And once again, no star power in the dunk contest. Why no Blake Griffin to defend his title? Aghhh! Dunk contest is gonna suck again this year.
