"Ariza is seeking a multiyear deal with a starting salary between $9 million and $11 million."

At least Dallas is looking at Lance and Pierce, seems like all our interest is in freaking Ariza right now...

Cheaper than Parsons... can provide great defense under other superstars... i like it... hope we can get him... maybe target some other cheaper options for depth on bench and/or match Parsons... to bring Ariza or Parsons off bench..

The advantage of Ariza is he won't get the money Parsons is gonna get. And you can trade him at any point in time.

If there are reports outlining our interest in Ariza, then it's almost certain we aren't focused there.

There's no way the Rockets are showing their hand. I'd pay more attention to players you hear almost nothing about.

Oh for gawd's sake NOOOO, we can't take on more automatic turnovers! Would prefer Deng, and bring back Delfino.

he played well last year, knows his role now, not like when with us before. even if he starts at 11 million is still better than sixteen. and we can add another player after getting rid of lin plus asik, and keep beverley next year.

Been hearing Ariza since the day before Cuban signed Parsons to that offer sheet. He played very well last season and brings certain things to the table this team needs. Another wing, a defender and a shooter.

However, Ariza simply isn't that good of a basketball player. He's awkward on the court, can't attack, can't post, can't finish, can't create for himself, is not good finding open players, weak post entry passer, doesn't get to the line, he has trouble with 3's from the right side - the same side Dwight posts up 50% of the time.

Tucker at $6mil is such a better deal. Ariza is not the guy we need, not on this team as currently constructed, not at his current inflated market rate.

I usually trust Morey but Ariza is a miscalculation. Unless he can be traded easily, an Ariza signing would break me right now. He's the guy you give the full MLE to in a year when you're already stacked. He's not someone you bring in to be the 3rd, 4th or 5th most important cog in the rotation.

    This isn't the eastern conference.

we do a 3 yr 27.5$million deal with a 3rd year team option.
Then get Jameer Nelson on a 3 yr 18million $ with options on yrs 2 and 3.

We stay competitive this year and work on Durant in '16

Talk about anti-climatic. Ariza is a decent player, but frankly his upside isn't as good as Parsons over all, only advantage would be the smaller salary would allow the Rox to persue further bench depth and hopefully some kind of upgrade at PF either through FA orr via trade... I still doubt Ariza and his agent settle for much under what Parson and Bledose will be getting though..

Would signing Ariza mean 'No' to Parsons?

If we landed Ariza, could we still land Pierce?
