Tracy McGrady went to New Jersey to rave and support his cousin, Vince Carter in Game 3 of New Jersey Nets versus Cleveland Cavaliers at the spectators' stand. IMHO, more than anything else, he should take the advice from his cousin. But other than that, what else you think Tracy needs now to help himself and this team to become successful next season ?
Tracy needs a better coach and maybe better teammates espacially on the bench. He showed that he can be a playmaker and scorer. I know it's frustrating to be 0-6 in the playoffs but if not this year maybe the next year wil be better. Just keep you head up, Tracy like VC said.
Deeper bench, better shooting PG, and a legit 3rd scorer that can create his own shot and for his teammates.
He needs a third, consistent offensive threat. The Rockets need a "big three" again. The Suns have Amare, Steve, and Shawn. The Spurs have Tim, Manu, and Tony. Hell, even the Warriors have at least four or five players that can go off for thirty points or more on any night. The Rockets didn't lose because Van Gundy is a bad coach, or because McGrady or Yao lack "heart." They lost because it is very, very hard to play 2-on-5 on the offensive end of the court.
He needs an player like armstrong (teammate in Orlando) next to him/on the team. Second he needs a person who can create for his own. Third why is our killer injured/retired (bob sura).
He needs a playmaker. he needs someone to allow him to concentrate on scoring with having to be the playmaker at the sametime. rafer is horrendus when it comes to setting up the offense and being a playmaker.....
I've called for a 3rd scorer for two years. But Tracy also needs more killer instinct to close out playoff games. He needs to stop taking the easy way out with so many turn around jumpers and pull-up 3 pointers in the open court.
What does he need? He needs a vocal leader who takes charge like Armstrong used to in Orlando. He needs a legit 3rd scorer who isn't a headcase like Bonzi. He needs an athletic 4 who can play d, board, finish open plays and at least give guys like Boozer a hard time. But most of all, Tmac needs to work on his game. It was obvious that his shot was way off this year. Get back in the gym, get a shooting coach and work on the timing of that release and the arc on your shot Tmac. Oh and he needs to shed some pounds and start being explosive again.
1) A healthy Yao for a FULL season; 2) A better, taller PF; 3) A much, much better PG; and 4) A much, much better bench. You give him that and the Rockets are perennial contenders, not the pretenders they've been all these years.
Both Vince and Tracy are p*****s. One p***y tells the other p***y what to do. LOL! Do you know what these two p*****s love to do? Shooting 25 ft 3 pointer so their defenders are 3 feet away. No doubt they are cousins.
He needs to stop listening to his cousin, VC. He should be watching the games played by Tim Duncan or Derek Fisher.
Of course he needs a few better players around. What Tmac, personally, needs to do is lose some weight. Carrying extra weight can only make his back worse. Take a look at what he looked like in his first season with Houston and look at him now. He is a good 15 lbs heavier and it doesn't look like muscle. That would also explain the lack of explosion from him at the tender age of 27. Actually, I thought he looked fantastic at the beginning of last season but we all know how that turned out. That extra muscle may have been a lot of what triggered the back problems. Apparently, while resting last summer he decided to traded that muscle in for some good old flab. LOSE WEIGHT, MCGRADY.
