Is Brian Skinner that promising or, as I suspect, could we not have put together a comparable offer to obtain EXACTLY what this team needs...a hard-nosed veteran interior presence who can spot up from 17 in if needed?

And don't come with the "Oakley's a Cancer" theme because there is little to no evidence of that.

Oakley's a jackass who punches people that owe him money during shootarounds and he would probably screw up our chemistry. Plus he sucks anyways. He wouldn't deserve any minutes at PF over Taylor, Thomas or Griffin.

And if Jordan didn't think Sir Charles would ever win a championship we should never have traded for him...or become fans...or listened to the constant spew of horse___...

You wouldn't punch somebody that owed you $30,000 and wouldn't pay up?

    1) You should never punch anyone.
    2) The debt was apparently from illegal gambling, so I would think the claim was not even legally enforcable.

Oakley has lost it man. He lumbers up and down the court more than a heavily knee-padded Dream. The past Oakley, hell yeah. The present oakley, hell no!

We're not casting for the Sopranos here, man, we're trying to field a basketball team.

Det, you should always pay your Gentleman bets, regardless of amount or condition.

And a bunch is rather light compared to what Tony Soprano would dish out.

C'mmon, he did wonders for Vince.

I promise that if we had gotten him we would've seen a much better Mo, a much better Cato, and a faster improving Griffin.

We could've done a Kenny Thomas for Oakley deal.

    It just wasn't pursued.

But rest assured, i'd rather have him backing up Mo, coz he'd do the dirty work that no one else on this team would do, and he'd motivate the team.

    18-25 minutes off the bench?

I would've taken him with arms wide open.

Not that bad of an idea...you're thinking! However, he's too old for our team...he should've went to the Lakers (perfect fit)...although I really don't want them gaining anymore talent.

Charles Oakley is a loser. Screw Oakley, I hope never becomes a Rocket. This is a guy who punches guys who owes him money, cheap shots guys like Barkley, and Hakeem, sucker punch Jeff McGinnis while wearing a ring, purposely trying to injure him, etc., etc. Enjoy hell Oakley! I'm glad you'll never win a championship!

Ok, you want an aging veteran, who is signed to a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract on the Rockets!? I'd rather keep Mo!

RM, you need to learn how to express yourself and stop beating around the bush so we all know exactly how you feel [IMG]

What's wrong with the Sopranos? Oakley can be an enforcer.

Barkley said that Jordan called him after Snottie Quitten said this and told him it was BS. So either Jordan lied to Chuck or Pimpin lied to the media. I leave it to you all to decide which is true.

Right on bigboyyomomma, we need an enforcer. But the Oakley of now, hobbles, wobbles, and bobbles, and tends to squabble with any player who doesn't like his old beat up cadillac. And we just don't need that.

Jordan actually told this to the media. So no, Pippen didn't make it up.
