It's happening tomorrow @ Thu 11 Sep - 21h00 (GMT+2) USA Basketball is great, but I'm kind of rooting for Lithuania after seeing the movie The Other Dream Team.
WTF did I just read? you rooting for Lithuania because of a f%^&ing movie? STFU & GTFO! with that said, I hope DMO and Harden do well.
A movie yes, but it's a documentary film about the 1992 Lithuanian Olympic team. It's a great story about the joy of basketball and spirit of competition. I recommend to anyone who loves playing and watching other play the sport. At the end of the day, I want team USA to win behind a legendary James Harden performance. I would, however, love to see DMo give team USA a run for its money!
It's going to be tough for Lithuanians not to get blown out. They are basically playing without a PG, their main guy got injured in the last preparation game.
He'll definitely start, but it will vary whether he sees much time on the floor. Honestly a lot will depend upon if the guards are getting him and JV involved
His last game vs TUR, DMo was just passing the ball on the perimeter. The few times he was aggressive, he could not make his shots. 2nd half, he was benched for Marciulas (not sure of the name) who proceeded to light up the TUR defense. It was Lithuania's version of small ball, effective since Asik bottled up Jonas almost the entire game. Of course, we have to hope for a good game from Harden and the U.S. team. More expectations on the U.S. side to win, and you don't want Harden's confidence to take a hit before the NBA season opens.
:grin:Harden is ready~! <iframe src="//instagram.com/p/sycD7TCENY/embed/" width="612" height="710" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" allowtransparency="true"></iframe>
Harden knows DMo weakness is defense 1on1 against guards, I think we will see Harden vs DMo matchups, hope DMo wont try too hard and wont cause an injurie for James.
I don't expect a "Spain v France" result here. But then, I did not expect the result of the Spain v France. So the result might be unexpected
