Wow, you certainly like to move goal posts. First you shat on the Spanish wing players, and when presented with a clearly inferior wing trio on a great team, you now talk about other positions?

For someone who doesn't give a sh-t, you are spending actual time posting about it.

Make Ibaka the starting SF and they are a good NBA team. Rudy has never played SF in the NBA and is clearly to small and not strong enough. Imagine him guarding Durant and Lebron? It would be embarrassing. Spain just has no NBA caliber SFs at all, hence why Ibaka needs to take the position. Team should look like this, I just question Ibaka's lateral quickness to defense the SF position around the perimeter, but he has the agility/length/strength. What a BIG line up:

    Starters:
    Rubio
    Fernandez
    Ibaka
    Pau
    Marc

    bench:
    Calderon
    Navarro
    Rodriguez
    Cleaver
    Reyes
    Llull

The only weakness is that the 2nd unit has no good bigs. You basically just have to rotate Ibaka & Gasols around to play with the bench. Heaps of scoring punch off the bench with Calderon/Navarro/Rodruigez though.

    PG: Calderon, Navarro, Rodriguez
    SG: Rubio, Llull, Abrines
    SF: Fernandez, Cleaver
    PF: Ibaka, Reyes
    C : Marc, Pau

To be honest, I would like a Europe/NBA type thing to work out. For a week or 2, all games will be around Europe

No way. The U.S. is stacked. Davis, Cousins, Faried, Drummond, even Plumlee. They will more than handle the Gasol brothers. Our wings and guards are also very deep and talented. I can see Spain maybe hanging with the U.S. but they will lose to us by at least 20 points I believe.

The NBA is already spread thin in top talent. It would be even better to let some teams move to an european city. Thunder in Paris. Hornets in London and so on. Hell even let a few teams move to an Asian city.

The logistics of an intercontinental league is just unfeasible. If some day the rest of the world has caught up with basketball talent, several parallel leagues in the world, and an inter-leauge super tournament would be a good thing.

The Spain team is the definition of Elite inside outside plays. They would be title contenders no doubt. Just the thought of Marc + Ibaka on paint protection + rubio on perimeter protection + Pau on offensive post with others raining 3s from the outside will **** your pants.

That's actually the definition of zero depth.

A bunch of average to below average PG's and the Gasol brothers & Ibaka.

    LOL.

in the western conference, they wouldnt advance to the playoffs, or they would be always the 8th spot, in the eastern they would go the playoffs, and could pass to the 2nd round, but thats it.

stop it, man. Some of you guys are being ridiculous. They would at the very least be in the conference finals. That team would be almost impossible to beat in a best of 7 series.

Why do you hate Rubio again? Also can you at least be fair and say something racist about African Americans too to even it out? Thanks.

    As a Frenchman...
    Not far.

As currently constructed, we're a team with limited talent but very scrappy. Too many players renounced to the tournament for various reasons (Parker, Noah, De Colo, Ajinca, Mahinmi, Seraphin...).

You can't have 82 to 100+ games a year when you make teams travel all over the world.

Better than Spain apparently. That was a horrid performance. No one could shoot except Pau.

I agree. The travel is horrendous. The NBA should in the future have regional leagues though in Europe and Asia.
